- Give deli_conker what he's been requesting for years:
a signature with however many characters he had requested. Oh, his post has since been
deleted and
he hasn't visited in quite some time, but wouldn't it be nice if he had that request fulfilled
if he ever takes a peek back in this little online ghost town?
Lighten up.
- Inline YouTube videos: [ youtube ][ /youtube ]. Like in so many other vBulletin forums.
- Embed Vimeo option
- Attachment tags so I don't have to drag my photos over from Photobucket every time.
- Promote MMI Forum in the print magazine with some kind of contest. No, I don't give a danm about a prize. I'd just like to see the forum have maybe five additional visitors.
Here's an idea: A transformation contest would draw people to the forum.
BodySpace recently joined forces with MuscleTech to promote
a transformation contest. They had hundreds of participants in their Blog section as well as
a lively contest thread in their forum. Both companies are huge, of course, but on the other end of the spectrum was another recent transformation contest. This one was held by Jason Ferruggia, author of Fit to Fight and the ebook series Muscle Gaining Secrets.
While MT and BS are offering a prize package worth $50K, Ferruggia's contest boasted a top prize of $1000. I participated in both and enjoyed the h e l l out of each. Again, the heck with a prize, it was just fun to participate and exchange posts and general camaraderie with like-minded individuals.
To MuscleTech's and Bodybuilding.com's gain, they sold a bunch of supplements to each entrant. Ferruggia created goodwill and possibly additional customers for his various ebooks and positive publicity
for his website. (Click that link for info on his contest.)
I've said it before, but it might not hurt to repeat:
More traffic to the Forum can result in greater revenue for MuscleMag due to an increased customer base. This Forum is a revenue-generating resource that is not being utilized to its greatest potential.
What's
the store got available for prizes?
Or you could tie it in with
MuscleMag's current contest.
